New Plasma Collection Center Opens in Kansas City, MO
October 3, 2017
We are proud to announce the opening of BPL’s 38th center, Kansas City, MO! The center officially opened for donations on Monday, September 18th. The team processed eighteen donors on Day 1!
The Kansas City center is the fourth center to open in 2017 under the steady guidance of the New Center Development Team, led by Nicole Spranger, Senior Director Facilities & New Center Development, and Katie Patek, the New Center Development Project Lead. This location’s opening contributed to the overall improvement of the new center project plan, and enabled us to strengthen our cross departmental communication, efficiency, and process streamlining.
Due to a water main break in the facility late in the construction process, the center opening was slightly delayed. But, this obstacle gave us the opportunity to show our resilience and teamwork as the Independence center hosted the Kansas City staff while the damage was repaired. We wish to acknowledge and thank the following Centers for their tremendous support with pre-opening training and with post opening on-site support: Beaumont, Bryan, Independence, Jacksonville Blanding, Phoenix, Texarkana, Temple Terrace, San Marcos, Stillwater, and Wichita Falls.
The Kansas City center is managed by Leslie Anthony, and she is assisted by Sara Donaldson and Malik Stephens. The Center is operating under the functional leadership of Gary Orlich Regional Operations Manager, Michelle Mills Field Quality Manager, and Daniella Miller Field Training Manager.
Thank you to everyone involved for your determination, perseverance, and hard work. Welcome to the BPL Plasma family, Kansas City!
