BPL Opens Center In Independence, MO

April 20, 2017

We’re proud to announce the opening of BPL’s 36th center, Independence MO. The center officially opened for donations on Tuesday April 11th at 12:00 p.m. The team processed twelve donors in its first day and 70 donors by the end of its first week!

The Independence center is the second center to open under the steady guidance of the New Center Development Team, led by Nicole Spranger. This opening marked a turning point in our new center opening process, with marked improvement in execution and cross departmental teamwork.

Our team utilized Smartsheet, a new project management tool, that allowed employees to manage their individual contributions, and then report back to the Project Lead (Eric Johnson) in real time. We wish to acknowledge and thank the following Centers for their tremendous support with pre-opening training and with post-opening on-site support: Beaumont, Bowling Green, Bryan, College Station, Greenville, Jacksonville Blanding, Little Rock, Phoenix, San Marcos, Stillwater, Temple Terrace, and Wilmington.

The center is managed by William “Patrick” Black, and he is assisted by Julietta Avila and Justin Lynn. The Center is operating under the functional leadership of FQM Cory Freeman, Angie Moustaris, and QAA Gregory Hawkins. Center training is being supported by Daniella Modesitt.

Thank you to everyone involved for your determination, perseverance, and hard work. Welcome to the BPL Plasma family, Independence!
